Publishing broken software is a really bad idea. It is my intention, althoug currently is super buggy, outdated and need a lot of work. It is a funny yet compelling sabotage to the self-sabotage of Black Metal bands logos. It will be culturally resignified as a message carrier which unfortunately will loose the message -the text- thanks to its inherent unintelligibility leaving it to be resignified, once again, just as an aesthetic form. By using this Black Metal styled generative typography anyone can create a text that resembles a Black Metal logo, which will be deprived from its original intentions and meaning, only left with its formal attributes. Text turned into just a bunch of apparently random lines that usually look like a texture rather than something written. Probably in search of such extremes the logos, as well as the music, have become absolutely unreadable. Make the fill color transparent and the stroke color a bright red.Black Metal it is intended to be one of the most extreme in darkness, obscurity, evilness and brutality sub-genre of Metal Music as such, the logos of the Black Metal bands. Once you have drawn around that it should then be erased. Here are some examples of sketches where I have had to make 2 letters symmetrical with each other. Sometimes the first letter will still need to modified to get a balance between the 2. You can then try to fit the other letter inside the template as best as possible. It is sometimes a good idea to start with the most complex letter, then draw a flipped version of the to use as a template. Some letters a more tricky than others to make symmetrical. It helps to understand the basics of typography. Try to keep the widths of the letters as consistent as possible. You might want to just keep the first and last letter symmetrical if you want it very legible. Some letters are more difficult to make symmetrical than others, use backwards letters if necessary or make 2 thin letters symmetrical to one wider letter. They had influences from hardcore punk and the lyrics were about politics and society. The logo I am using for this tutorial was for an old school death metal band. This will be a symmetrical, hand rendered, vector logo. The demand for these logos were more popular than I expected and I managed to get quite a lot of work from it alongside my studies. Being an extreme metal fan and a logo designer, it was only natural for me to start creating logos for the metal scene.
